Divella Delights

Hi and welcome to my blog. I look forward to your comments and suggestions!

I live in Vermont so of course I love to support Vermont and  New England Artisans when I can. Often, you will see a blog here that does not pertain to jewelry and/or hats in any way.  Somtimes my blog has nothing to do with Vermont in any way, but will  be about a source, link or product that I really like.

Also, be sure and check out my "Links" page for lots of different things from Accessories to Wellness.

Grab and cup of tea, coffee or cocoa, sit back and have a look around, I hope you find something interesting and enjoy your time here!

Felted Slippers almost ready!

Jan 02 2012

Those of you on my e-mail list knew these were coming and I could even wait until they were dry to show them to you!

The pink ones are waiting for buttons and both pair are waiting to dry so I can needle-felt a nice design on them.

I hope you like them!

The patterns both came from Fiber Trends and knit up nicely. I will have to make an adjustment on the pattern of the Ballet style slippers, as I do not like the little notch I ended up with. The boot is a little tricky but as long as you pay attention and don’t get distracted I would say that almost anyone could knit these up. They do take over 400 yards of bulky-weight wool so they are not an inexpensive pair to make but the double sole is worth every inch! They are so well cushioned and comfortable. I will be making the bottoms non-slip as well.

Many of my friends and family already want some…guess I know what to make for Christmas next year!
